THE GOLF SHOW 2010 IS A JOINT VENTURE BETWEEN THE PGA, FOREMOST GOLF AND TGI GOLF. AND WILL TAKE PLACE FROM, OCTOBER 25TH – 28TH AT THE HARROGATE CONVENTION CENTRE WITH MONDAY THE 25TH BEING EXCLUSIVLY FOR FOREMOST MEMBERS

As you may be aware Foremost Golf and TGI Golf have in the past held their own golf shows back-to-back in Harrogate, proving successful for both the groups' members and suppliers.

We are always looking for ways to improve the shows and the next step was to have one show open to all PGA members, giving suppliers face-to-face access to more of their key customers.

We see the support of the PGA as a vital element in making the show even more successful as it will be promoting the event and its benefits to its total membership through its extensive communication channels.

The show will be a totally unified event with no segregation between group members or any other golf professionals attending. As far as the organisation is concerned a working group has been formed between all parties and all aspects of the show will be jointly decided and approved.

To this end there will be one show organiser who will be responsible to the two groups and acting on their joint behalf.

There will be separate stands for TGI Golf, Foremost Golf and The PGA where attendees and existing group members can meet staff and learn about the benefits on offer.

  • EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS - Previous shows have incorporated a learning element into the programmes and this year will be no exception, indeed this will be an expanded element of the show with The PGA providing a comprehensive range of seminars and presentations with some leading speakers from within the industry.

The PGA will be bringing not only its expertise from its own training programme but a range of well know and highly respected speakers to ensure the seminars are informative and educational to benefit the attendees' business.

The seminar programme will run throughout the three days and spaces will be limited to ensure a large number of attendees are not drawn away from the show floor at any one time.

The Golf Show 2010 will be another step in the collaboration between yourselves and the green grass channel. The educational programmes will also be focussed on creating more effective supplier partnerships, leveraging more value for both the retailer and the supplier and increasing the level of loyalty in those relationships for the benefit of both parties.

PGA members will be able to accumulate everything they need for the Association's Lifelong Learning Programme through this extensive seminar programme.
  • CPD POINTS - PGA members attending the show will be eligible for points towards their Continuous Professional Development programme record.

First day attendance will earn members 50 points with subsequent visits recognised with 25 points per day.

In addition any member attending any one of the educational seminars run in the Queens Suite over the three days will be accredited 20 points per session.
  • THE VENUE - We are delighted to be returning to the Harrogate International Centre, a dedicated exhibition and conference venue with large purpose built exhibition facilities offering suppliers a professional environment to showcase their products.

We have also made a commitment to the HIC to hold the event there for the foreseeable future, giving The Golf Show a stable environment for both suppliers and attendees combined with a professionally run exhibition centre, excellent access and transport facilities, and a town with a wide variety of accommodation and restaurants.

The Golf Show will move within the HIC to larger exhibition halls with more space and a wider range of facilities.

We will be taking Halls B, C and M, dramatically expanding the area available and allowing us to extend the facilities available to suppliers and attendees.
  • ATTENDEE CRITERIA - The show will be open to all on-course PGA professionals and their business associates involved in the direct retailing of their business.

There will also be incentive programmes to ensure PGA professionals use the entire three days and there will be a number of events and activities taking place in the evenings, when the show has finished, to create a great atmosphere for the PGA pros. These initiatives will drive attendance and ensure you receive the maximum support.
  • SUPPLIERS - The show will be open to both Foremost Golf and TGI Golf approved suppliers. We will also welcome any non-conflicting, non-approved suppliers, which will be of benefit to the PGA professionals attending.
