Education Workshops – Empowering the PGA Professional
Empowering the PGA Golf Professional
As part of its campaign to empower Golf Professionals at green grass golf facilities, Foremost Golf ran four educational workshops during March around the United Kingdom. In the face of an increasing threat from discounters in the high street and on the internet these workshops were designed to help PGA Golf Professionals (whether they are a member of a Foremost group or not) to improve their trading performance. Attendance at the workshops also secured PGA Golf Professional CPD points.
PGA Professionals Fighting Back
Along with increasing competition in the high street and on the internet, we are in a very difficult trading environment. However there is a strong argument that the PGA Professional at the green grass golf facility is very favourably positioned in trading conditions that are certainly significantly impacting the high street and the manufacturers that serve it. What is now required is for the PGA Golf Professionals to press home their advantages. The workshops held helped to improve levels of professionalism as it relates to fitting, golf club design and technology, understanding of the golf swing, retail merchandising and management and customer marketing.
