The groups explained
There are approximately 250 Foremost Golf Professionals and 750 Alliance Golf Professionals who are members of the group.
The important advantage, to the supplier, of dealing with the Foremost Golf Professionals, is that Foremost centrally processes invoices and makes the payment, guaranteed, for these retailers.
For the Alliance Golf Professionals the supplier still deals, for all accounting purposes with the Golf Professional directly.
Central Terms
Once a supplier has been ‘approved’, agreeing trading terms and conditions is made significantly easier and more cost effective, through a central negotiation. The Golf Professionals, both Foremost and Alliance members, will honour the trading terms agreed centrally.
This reduces the need to develop and maintain 1000 individual trading relationships with the Golf Professionals that are part of the group.
Working to increase sales
For the supplier there are several benefits to a partnership with Foremost Golf but one that should not be overlooked is that it is now in the interest of both the retailer and Foremost Golf to increase the sales of the Approved Supplier’s product.
Foremost also has easy access via an internal electronic mail management solution to communication with the Golf Professionals. Offers, Promotions and important information (ie changes to terms or product status) can be quickly communicated.
